Gone are the days when raising a child was a common affair. The entire family used to take care ceremoniously. For every need, there was someone to take care of. Children used to grow from one lap to another inadvertently. This support was meticulously tested and proven. The role of the mother was categorically defined and was limited to feeding and making them sleep. All other needs were taken care of by relatives or the elder ones. These helping hands played a significant role in developing child mentality. Psychologically they used to be more sensitive, responsible, sharing, and caring people. The path of motherhood was a bit practical and attainable.

But with the advent of a nuclear family, this path has become more complicated, and the approach to raising a child has changed dramatically. All the need of a baby is to be fulfilled by the mother alone. No doubt, it’s the versatility of women to adopt the role that defines the success of motherhood. A woman who was once afraid of picking up a delicate baby in her arm suddenly becomes brave enough to cater to all the requirements of a baby. Taking care of such an infant requires multi-skilled discipline. However, their consciousness guides them to evolve and excel. Surprisingly their reflexes increase multi-folds. 

This transformation is like taking a pledge to keep the baby safe till her last breath. And to keep her promise she carries out all her obligations with a smile. She becomes calmer, patient, focused, and sturdy. Keeping the baby clean itself is a tedious job, concurrently providing all the necessary support to keep the baby healthy wealthy, and well is a herculean task. Anybody who appreciates the baby is appreciating the effort of the mother. Nurturing a baby is a continuous effort that tests the endurance of motherhood. That’s why motherhood is regarded as the highest form of unconditional love. They are the divine savior.

Despite all these additional responsibilities, they are the ones who keep the house clean, prepare food and do laundry. They perform their duty round the clock. Apart from that, they are always there in a distinct role, sometimes as a mentor, a guide, a therapist, a friend, or a lover. Their charisma creates a perfect environment for a happy home. If any payment system is to be developed for their support, probably they would have withdrawn the highest salary in the world. Undoubtedly, now mothers are more aware, educated, and versatile. We are living in a generation where they are the superhumans, they are called super mom.
