Beautiful sacrifice

Raising a child is an impeccable responsibility. This requires lots of commitment and sacrifice. Watching a movie, roaming around the town, and late-night parties comes to standstill. Some dreams are to be postponed and some are to be forgotten. Especially for nuclear families, maintaining a balance between work and commitment is like walking on a double-edged sword. I salute those mothers who in turn selected their commitment towards raising a child than financial independence. Motherhood which simply cannot be defined within words gives the wisdom to fight for the survival of an infant.

But the happiness we get in return is incredible. Even when they smile in their dreams – it looks mesmerizing. They are the little angel who looks like our child. Their cute face, small hands, and particularly fingers look tiny. But this tiny creature finds solace only in its mother’s arm. Bounding between them is nature’s best beauty. Days convert into moments and we keep waiting for the next Kodak moment of a child. Seeing them grow perhaps is one of the best parts of our life. Thanks to the post-digital era, in which these precious moments can be preserved forever.

Apart from these commemorative moments; everything seems to be fine until they start crying profusely. Everybody seems to be running around, guessing the actual cause. There may be hundreds of reasons, but the indication for all these hundred reasons is the same i.e. crying profusely. It may be as simple as hunger or as complicated as a stomach cramp. Most of the time, it’s complicated to understand their expression. Inability to express their concern is the saddest part of the helplessness of the human child. For all first-time mothers, it’s emotional chaos. Sometimes it’s even difficult for doctors to diagnose. In the case of children “A pediatrician with sixth sense is best pediatrician” as goes the famous saying.

Raising a child always leads to a clash between conventional and modern upbringing. Relatives, especially grandparents have their own opinion and share valuable experiences from their past. Their profound knowledge of herbs and home remedies is something that needs to be nurtured and preserved. Many a time it seems to be superficial and occult, but it’s not true. However, a mother is more convinced and inclined towards modern substitutes. The mother wants instant relief, but the grandparents want to save a child from toxic and harmful chemicals. In both cases, it’s a win-win situation for the baby.

Happy Parenting!
