The
preparation for bringing a new member into our family begins a month before the
actual arrival of a child. Yet, the essence of bringing this bundle of joy
requires a bit of careful planning. Of course, this does not require a
brainstorming session but a common understanding and a basic instinct. There is
lots of misleading marketing stuff and provocative TV commercials which curtain
our minds. Mostly, exhilarating emotion leads to false presumption and
encourages purchasing either unnecessary or overrated materials for a baby. We
should be more rational and judicial before purchasing these twinkling gifts.
Gifts
apart, It is very important to have an uncluttered, hygienic, and organized
house. A well-maintained house is a sign of serenity that acts as a springboard
to future happiness. And it’s quite easier for us to garner this happiness
using modern tools and technologies.
One
such technology is a mattress protector. This modern-day discovery of protecting a mattress
otherwise would have a costly affair. It saves the mattress from the baby’s
random act of wetting the surrounding accidentally during busy hours. Specially
woven fabric is washable, sustainable, and quite comfortable beneath the bedsheet.
This helps in protecting the bed from forming fungal infections and foul smells.
If
we can make a dedicated baby's corner in our house well in advance then it's
quite easy to do lean management. It's not necessarily a dedicated cupboard,
but a small place on top of the refrigerator or a small dedicated place in an
existing drawer can help a lot. Sooner or later lots of stuff is going to
accumulate including clothes, diapers, medicines, and toys, and managing these
inventories becomes a challenging task. If placed in order, it's quite easy to
remember. Things can be arranged for this little one if a proper tool is
available.
With every consultancy, the knowledge of the mother
enhances, and in no time she becomes a temporary doctor for a baby. However,
after some time it leads to confusion in identifying the correct medicine. To
overcome this, she either should refer a prescription or take the help of the internet.
Alas! Sometimes nothing works. It is therefore all medicines should be labeled
properly with a sticky note. These labels can be self-explanatory
as “for dry cough”, “for wet cough”, “for stomach pain” and so on. So labels
are a must.
Happy parenting!
